At Lowcountry Equine, we believe your horse is more than an athlete — they’re your partner. When subtle discomfort or tension builds, performance, behavior, and overall well-being can suffer. Our goal is to bring relief, restore mobility, and support long-term soundness so your horse can thrive in every stride.
Founded in Charleston in 2021, Lowcountry Equine is led by Caroline Kosh, a lifelong equestrian and licensed clinical pharmacist turned certified equine bodyworker. With her background in health care, she brings a unique combination of scientific knowledge, compassion, and hands-on experience to every session.
A thorough introduction including history review, static & dynamic assessment, 60 minutes of customized bodywork, and a detailed digital session summary.
Ongoing care with static assessment, 60 minutes of bodywork, and digital session summary. Dynamic assessments included as needed.
Enhance your horse’s bodywork session with a non-invasive add-on that boosts circulation, supports recovery, and reduces soreness from the inside out.
Every horse deserves individualized care. Sessions blend multiple modalities — myofascial release, sports massage, acupressure, soft tissue mobilization, stretching, and nerve compression release — tailored to your horse’s unique needs.
We also integrate BEMER PEMF therapy to boost circulation, accelerate recovery, and reduce inflammation, ensuring support from the inside out.

"Caroline with Lowcountry Equine Massage has been absolutely incredible with my horse. Her attention to detail during each session is unmatched. She takes the time to really understand my horse’s needs and always approaches her sessions with patience and care! It’s clear she’s passionate about what she does. She takes note of even the smallest changes in my horse’s body and adjusts her techniques accordingly. After each massage, I notice a visible difference in his comfort, mobility, and overall demeanor. He absolutely loves her! I trust Caroline completely and feel grateful to have found someone so knowledgeable and compassionate. Highly recommend!"
"Caroline is absolutely amazing with our Sweet girl Dolce! Her calm energy and skilled hands make such a difference. You can tell she truly cares and connects with each horse she works on. We've seen noticeable improvements in comfort, movement, and overall well-being. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to give their horse the best care possible!"
"Caroline is skilled, intuitive, and patient with all types of horses. I was very impressed how quickly my guarded mare let her in. She identifies problem areas, knows exactly how to treat them, and even gives you stretches/exercises to do. My mare carries tension mostly in her neck and shoulders, and a little in her lumbar area. We were stuck in a rut with our dressage work until Caroline started working with her. After only a couple of sessions she was obviously more comfortable and really seems to be enjoying the work! And the detailed report she emails after each session is really helpful to keep track of the problem areas!"
"Caroline is punctual, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. She takes great care with each horse and always explains what she’s working on. Our horses feel and move better after every session — we’re lucky to have her at the barn!"
"Caroline is amazing! She is so sweet, kind and knowledgeable. She has the best energy with your horse and she really cares. Couldn’t recommend her enough!"
Horses have been at the center of my life since I was ten years old, and my own horse, Biggie, first showed me how much pain can affect behavior and performance. His struggles inspired me to explore equine bodywork, and I’ve seen firsthand how much difference it makes.
Before turning my passion into my career, I earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina and worked as a clinical pharmacist. That experience gave me a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based care, which now translates into a thorough, professional approach to supporting your horse.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me riding, at the beach, in the garden, or with my dog Eva and horse Biggie.
